Villa Terranova is a wonderful Villa for a group of 12 people, strategically located to explore the Chianti Area, Florence, Siena, Arezzo and the main cities and villages of Tuscany. The Villa is a large spacious house recently restored with great attention to detail, and stylishly furnished using top quality fixtures. It is thought that the Villa was originally a look out tower Medici for a nearby castle. Through the years it was transformed into a family Villa that was once owned by the Medici family.

After the restoring proccess the Villa maintains its original atmosphere of a Tuscan farmhouse with all comforts of modern life.

The Villa is set on the top of a sweet hill, so the garden extends down the slopes into pretty olive groves and orchards. The garden offers the wonderful panorama of lime trees from Lebanon, ancient cypress tress, and a wide variety of fruits trees and olive trees.

Located close to the house there is the swimming pool (4x8m.) on a sun terrace which is a real oasis of peace and silence. Close to the pool there is an outdoor barbecue perfect for alfresco meals. From the garden guests will be able to admire the wonderful surroindings of the countryside and the local town, which has a variety of shops for the daily shopping, a supermarket, restaurants and bars, at just 1km distance. 

For shopping lovers the area offers a wide selection of outlets of the main Italian brands. Florence is at a short distance (50min. driving), Arezzo (30min) and Siena (one hour). Upon request the owners will assist you in organizing the best tours in the area (cultural and tourism tours, wine tours, shopping tours...).

Guests can also book a chef service to enjoy the most delicious Tuscan specialties without leaving the Villa. 

Interiors

The Villa is on three floors.

On the ground floor the main entrance is into a hallway that leads through to beautiful and spacious living room- dining room and upstairs to the top floor. The large living room-dining room has an open fireplace, satellite TV, DVD player, stereo CD player. The living room has been very stylishly furnished with handcrafted pieces that have been specially selected by the owners. There are several large glass doors leading onto the garden.

The formal dining area has an original vaulted ceiling and it has a large dining table for up to 12 guests.

The large professionally equipped kitchen has a central work area with large hob and two ovens, microwave, dishwasher, and a large fridge.

There is a laundry room with a washing machine. On the ground floor there is also a bathroom with a shower.

A staircase leads from the downstairs entrance hall to the first floor where there is a second lounge area with open fireplace and satellite TV.

There are 5 bedrooms on the first floor and a further bedroom in the tower. On the first floor there are two twin rooms (can be made doubles). These two twin bedrooms share a bathroom with shower. There are three double bedrooms, one with an en suite bathroom with bathtub, one has an en suite bathroom with shower and the third has a bathroom just across the hallway with a double sink, shower and bathtub (shared with the tower bedroom). All bathrooms have hairdryers.

On the first floor there is also is a well-equipped study with two computers linked to a fast ADSL internet connection with printer. All bedrooms on the first floor have air conditioning and all bedrooms also have screens on the windows.

There is a further pretty twin bedroom located in the second floor tower room, once a medieval look out tower. It has windows on three sides and provides a 360 degree view. It shares a bathroom on the first floor landing. This bedroom also has air conditioning.

Villa Terranova is the ideal place for two families or a large group of friends in their Tuscan Holidays.
