Exterior

This wonderful villa is situated near Prato, a step away from the magnificent Florence. The rural location is a real haven of peace where guests will immediately find relaxation surrounded by the chestnut trees and natural creeks.

The central position in Tuscany means that day-trips to all the famous towns and cities in the region are very manageable- Siena, Pisa, Arezzo and Florence just a few of the many worth a visit.

Mountain-biking facilities and archery are available on site as well as various wine tastings, picnics and courses including gardening and survival. A little further afield guests can enjoy tennis, horse-riding, golf and all manner of water sports at the nearby lake.

In Villa dei Sensali´s gardens guests will enjoy the silence only interrupted by the sound of birds and the lapping water of the swimming pool. This is large and private surrounded by a furnished sun deck and silvery olive trees. Another two shallow mini pools are ideal for a refreshing dip or to sit in whilst enjoying a cocktail!

The estate also has a lovely spa. Far removed from those clinical places with staff in white coats, the spa here is a natural oasis where peace, privacy and therapeutic waters will guide you towards inner balance. Hydrotherapy, onsen baths, a calidarium and tepidarium are at your disposition along with massage and aromatherapy.


Interior

The Villa itself dates from the 11th or 12th century and thanks to a painstaking renovation process, the original essence has emerged perfectly intact. The magical atmosphere of the Tuscan middle ages is now discreetly enhanced by all modern comforts in order to make of your stay an unforgettable one.

In keeping with the villa´s aims of harmony with nature and the environment, care has been taken to only employ natural materials- hand woven towels, cotto elements, dyes extracted from herbs and flowers, and stone. This makes it a real refuge from the modern industrialized world.

There are six different suites, all individually designed with a different theme and style but which share the zen philosophy.

Each suite has a private full bathroom. Two of the bathrooms feature a bathtub and a shower, one a Jacuzzi tub and shower.
