Exterior

This historical villa near Montecatini Terme sits on the western slopes of Mount Albano. From this vantage point there is a sweeping view of the property´s 18 acres of chestnut and oak woods and olive groves which cannot but enchant guests staying at this haven of tranquility.

Fortunately, the region, Valdinevole, in which the villa can be found, is still relatively unknown to tourists, helping to preserve its natural environment. Almost all Tuscan gems are a short distance away- Montecatini Terme, Pisa and Florence, for example, are less than an hour´s drive.

Sports enthusiasts should be sure to make the most of the endlesss activities on offer near the villa: Horse riding, an 18 hole golf course, tennis, ten-pin bowling, mountain biking, clay-pigeon shooting and trekking. Visits to vineyards can also be arranged for wine tastings.

The villa is very attractive with its local stone outer walls lending much character and preserving the old Tuscan style.

The 6 x 12 impeccable swimming pool with hydro massage lies on a natural terrace set a few steps from the villa on a slightly lower level but from where the breathtaking views can still be enjoyed. Changing rooms, WC, a solarium with sun loungers and umbrellas, table and chair and small children´s play corner mean you´ll probably find yourselves spending a lot of time here. The pool is even lit so you can enjoy a refreshing dip in this magical setting under the stars.

Interior

Villa Montecatini Terme can be rented as a whole or divided into two since the two parts have a complete set of rooms, independent entrances and only share the parking and garden. It might suit families travelling together who would appreciate a little extra privacy.

On its ground floor, guests will find a kitchen for 6 and the main fully equipped kitchen for 8, two sitting rooms with fireplaces, two dining rooms, one for 8 and one for 16, a cosy television lounge, billiards room with early 19th century table, two bathrooms and a small utility room. On the second floor there are four king sized double bedrooms, attractively decorated in a different colour palette respectively and with en suite bathrooms.  One of these rooms has a spiral staircase leading to a mezzanine with an extra single bed.

There are two further bedrooms on this floor, one triple room and one single. These share a bathroom with a luxurious Jacuzzi bathtub and a shower. The last floor has a particular lovely view and has a bedroom with two single beds and lovely antique furniture.

The décor was clearly been carefully chosen and includes attractive artwork, Persian carpets and elegant ornaments as well as all the beautiful antique furnishings such as Empire and Liberty pieces, 16th and 17th century chests. 

All modern comforts have been discreetly integrated- Wi-Fi internet connection, VCR, VCD, 32’satellite LCD TV, air conditioning/heating etc.

At an extra charge some extra services can be organized at the villa such as a maid, baby sitter, shopping delivery, catering for 50/60 guests, painting classes, Italian cookery lessons among other things.

One of the best villas in the area, Villa Montecatini is ideal for relaxing family holidays, or, owing to its large size, is especially suitable for holding special events. It can host up to 14 and has huge grounds including a panoramic pool.
