This magnificent property can be found in the area of Radda in Chianti whose green and rolling hills are famous for their vineyards and resulting wine. This location is conveniently at the centre of the artistic and cultural life of Tuscany: Just 12km from Siena and a 45minute drive from Florence and the now well-known San Gimignano- day-trips to all the popular sites in the region are very manageable.

The estate itself stretches over 3.5 hectares and includes woodland, landscaped gardens, a splendid swimming pool, frescoed 16th century chapel and historic cellars. The buildings are arranged around a grand courtyard.

Believed to date from the early 1200s, almost six years of committed restoration have brought this beautiful villa back to its former glory. Extreme care has been taken to retain the authentic atmosphere- the roof and floor tiles are centuries old, the plaster made with limestone and terracotta as the Romans used to do and the paint on the walls derived from different local earth for example. All the roof tiles and floors are centuries old, original or locally found and selected with great care.  This extensive revival has in fact led to the Ministry of Fine Arts has declaring the property a residence of “historic interest”.

Interior

This villa is vast at 2700sqm total and affords 9 rooms and 8 suites. The rooms are designed to accommodate from 1-4 guests, with a maximum capacity of 50 guests.

All the rooms have lovely views over the courtyard, olive groves and terraced vegetable garden which is surrounded by hand-carved stone walls. Furthermore, they are all equipped with air conditioning, telephone, television, Wi-Fi and a mini-bar, and individually decorated so they each have their own character.

The structure of the property is such that it has various different buildings which can be used as meeting or workshop rooms being equipped with the latest in multimedia technologies including a large cinema screen and surround sound. These are ideal for all manner of private and corporate events. The frescoed chapel is of course an exquisite location for a very special wedding but also makes a lovely spot for elegant dinners or buffet meals.
