Villa Versilia is a a stunning Tuscan villa located in the Lucchesia region. Set amidst a unique Tuscan landscape, the villa dominates the view of Lucca from atop a hill.
The main bulding dates back to the Fifteenth century and it is surrounded by a gorgeous flower garden and an olive garden. The garden is throned by a Renaissance square basin of 9 by 3 meters in size now restored to be the swimming pool of the villa. Here you will find the refreshment you need during hot summer days.
The villa is inmersed in an oasis of peace, surrounded by wonderful countryside. The outdoors of Villa Versilia enchant the visitor upon first sight. Here you will find a place where to regenarate far from busy holiday resorts.
Interiors
The indoors of Villa Versilia are just as stunning as the exteriors. This Tuscan villa has been totally restored just few years ago; the painstaking process has preserved all the original features of the structure. Materials such the cotto floors, the hand-carved wood ceilings and the wrough iron details on the roofs still keep the original prestige and grandeur of this elegant villa near Lucca.
The stone fireplaces, the frescoes and spacious halls and bedrooms contribute to the regality of the villa while providing a comfortable homely feel to each environment that will make guests revive the prestige and feel Renaissance lords themselves.
About 1300 square meters in size, this Tuscan villa develops on three floors.
On the ground floor are conveniently located three double bedrooms and two bathrooms. Two of these bedrooms have a very particular charme as one of them is nested inside a former wine cellar and onother one in a former olive oil storage room.
On this floor one can relax in halls with beautiful original fireplaces. A spacious fully-equipped kitchen with a wood burning oven (perfect for pizza nights!) and a laundry room are also located on the ground floor near the large 70 square meter villa entrance.
On the first and main floor guests can relax in the 150 square meter living room. This ample room also has an impressive stone fireplace. From here you can step into the dining room and continue on to the study room. The old tower hides an additional living room with voulted ceilings and the original stone fireplace of the villa. The main floor connects to a beautiful, partly frescoed loggia with unique views over the Lucca hills and the olive grove.
On the second floor an ample hall with high ceilings adorned with wood beams and massive wood pillars inmediately welcomes guests. Here another fireplace warms the ambient. At this floor you can also find six double bedrooms, one with fireplace and all with private ensuite bathrooms. Some bathrooms have a Jacuzzi while all enjoy spectacular views of the Tuscan Versilia landscape.
The villa is decorated with original Tuscan furniture. Comfortable and precious, you can discover the charm of these hand-made pieces of artesan art.
