Striking villa in Tuscany

Exterior

This striking villa in unspoilt parkland is just 4km from a charming little village with a post office, specialist bakery and other small grocery shops. Larger towns can be found a 10minute drive from the villa. Furthermore, Florence is easily reachable by train, a 30 minute journey from the nearby railway station.

Owners have planted an exquisite collection of old English roses in the park surrounding the villa. This 4000m park completely enclosed by tall trees lends great privacy to the property.
If you should like to take a walk, the owners would be happy to take you to their gazebo on a hill overlooking the villa from where you can see the entire valley and a particularly spectacular sunset.

In the park behind the villa is the property´s private swimming pool, open all summer long from mid May to the end of September, lovely for a refreshing dip after soaking up the sun at the poolside solarium. There is a hammock positioned in a shady corner too. At the front of the villa a terrace with a wisteria covered pergola, traditional pizza oven and BBQ will guarantee enjoyable al fresco meals.


Interior

The villa combines traditional and contemporary styles with modern furnishings and brightly coloured walls, some of which are actually painted with frescoes or are hung with paintings by one of the owners, a professional artist.

The reception rooms are all on the first floor where you enter the villa. The gleaming modern kitchen is fully equipped with all you could need for self-catering: eight gas burner hobs, an electric oven, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, kettle, toaster, American coffee machine and a breakfast bar.

On one side of the large living room guests will find the pleasant dining area where you can enjoy your meals altogether. The rest of the room is filled with several sofas where you can relax chatting, reading or watching the satellite television or a DVD. Four large picture windows bring in lots of light as well as affording lovely views over the gardens and balcony surrounding the entire room. A large day bed and chairs here allow for pleasant moments in the fresh air.

Also on this floor is the master bedroom with a splendid en suite bathroom equipped with a shower, Jacuzzi bath tub for two and sauna seating four. There is also a guest bathroom with a shower and w/c. Another of the double bedrooms is on the top floor of the house and has a romantic feel with walls completely decorated with trompe l´oeil design and again its own en suite shower room and w/c. The last two bedrooms are on the ground floor and can have their own entrance should you wish. Both are en suite rooms, one with twin French size beds and one with a double. A cot for babies can be provided.

Also on this level there is some gym equipment- an exercise bike and abdominal bench, and another room houses the washing machine.

Heating, use of the sauna and a final cleaning of the villa are at an extra cost and other services available on request are a cook, cooking lessons and midweek cleaning.
