Massarosa farmhouse was originally a customs house in the province of Lucca, and turned into a hunting lodge with and adjacent farm at the end of the XVIII Century.

The area of the farmhouse, around the lake of Massacuiccoli has been a place of inspiration for well-known artists, as the great composer Giacomo Puccini who created most of his main operas in his house at Torre del Lago, where every summer there are concerts and musical events to celebrate the artist.

After a carefully and tastefully restoration process Massarossa is nowadays a charming and cozy farmhouse perfect for a family holiday in Tuscany.

For its perfect location is the ideal place to explore the main cities and towns of Tuscany, as is conveniently located for Florence, Lucca, Pisa, Livorno and Viareggio, and it has easy access from main roads (the autostrada and the Aurelia highway). It is also closed to the wonderful Apuan Alps, a real naturalistic jewel protected by a natural park, and the ideal destination for nature-lovers.
