The magnificent Villa Pergola, an exquisitely restored 17th century property, can be found in a beautiful corner of Tuscany, just 10 minutes from the medieval town of Lucca.
 
The Villa’s extensive park of lime-trees, oaks, olives, magnolias, large bushes of aromatic plants and roses is the ideal background for the beautiful swimming pool. The terrace under a pergola, entwined with bougainvillea, offers a pleasant area for al fresco dining and relaxation with panoramic views of the countryside. A stone wall surrounding the park affords extra privacy.

This luxury Villa’s central location allows you to explore the numerous well known sites of Tuscany such as Carrara, Chianti, Florence, Lucca, Pisa, and Siena. It is also the ideal location from which to visit the lesser known, but worthy of exploration, places such as Fiesole, Pistoia, San Gimignano, San Miniato, Vinci, Vicopisano, and Volterra.

Interior

The grandeur of the property is plain as soon as you enter. Stylish furnishings offer the utmost in comfort and relaxation and you will surely appreciate the villa´s historical charm while enjoying modern amenities such as individually controlled air conditioning in each of the 6 bedrooms, all with en suite bathrooms, central heating for the winter months, computer & internet, stereo CD player with central diffusion, satellite television, and security alarm.

Downstairs, a large country eat-in kitchen is fully-equipped with all you could need for self-catering, although you might prefer to take advantage of the holiday to get out of the kitchen and request a private chef. Daily breakfast is provided and included in the rates. An elegant dining room with a fireplace is especially appropriate for more formal meals. There is also a guest bathroom and a laundry room on this floor.
 
On the first floor, the large central drawing room can be found, majestic but not imposing, a lovely place for reading in peace and quiet or where all guests can gather before or after dinner with a drink. There's even a grand piano! The first three double bedrooms with their en suite bathrooms, all spacious, light and fresh, are also found here, along with a smart study.

Finally, on the top floor of the villa are the comfortable living room with a home theatre television, the library and the other three double bedrooms, again all with their own bathrooms.

The staff at Villa Pergola are committed to providing their guests with excellent service. From your initial contact to your departure you will receive individualized, attentive and friendly service. This includes 24-hour guest support during your stay, 2 maids working six days a week and a gardener.
The property manager is very happy to share their vast knowledge of the local area with you and help arrange tours, wine-tastings, cooking classes and other activities. A list of attractions and activities on offer can be provided.
