The National Park is a walker’s paradise with about 250 km of walking paths watched over by tall firs, beeches and chestnut trees. Another must-see is 12th century Romanesque Pieve S.Maria housing San Donato’s crypt. The Renaissance Santa Maria delle Grazie, located near Stia, houses some masterpieces such as the glazed terracotta works supposedly created by Ghirlandaio.
