Il Cipresso is a charming 16th century farmhouse converted into 3 apartments for 2 to 4 people as well as an independent building for 5 to 6. It is set in a perfect position in Chianti in the middle of a 2 hectare garden of meticulously kept lawns, flowers and fruit trees and surrounded by rolling hills of olive trees and cypresses- a typical Tuscan landscape.

The swimming pool equipped with sun loungers and umbrellas is the perfect place to relax and recharge your batteries in between some sight-seeing. Each apartment also has a large covered porch with table and chairs for a little more privacy and perhaps for enjoying pleasant meals al fresco.

If you are looking for history, art and good food then il Cipresso is a perfect place for you. There are many excellent restaurants nearby as well as wine and olive oil producing estates offering tastings and tours.

Furthermore, the central location means you can easily reach all the most important places in Tuscany, in less than 30 minutes you will be in Florence and it is under an hour to Pisa, Siena, San Gimignano and Arezzo to name just a few places.

Interior

Clearly much love, time and work has been put in to restore the farmhouse to its former glory. The owners have been careful to maintain the original features where possible using typical materials such as the terracotta tile flooring and wooden beams, lending an old-world charm.

The apartments vary in size and layout but each has the same excellent facilities including wireless internet, satellite television, fan, independent heating and a fully-equipped kitchen for self-catering.

An extra bed or cot is willingly provided for those travelling with children and babies and there is private parking on site.

As a base for exploring the wider region or simply a tranquil setting for a lazy holiday, il Cipresso is suitable for everyone.
