Tuvimos un problema al llegar a Borgo Sarteano. Llegamos sobre las 23:30 h y no nos dieron el apartamento que habíamos reservado (Gelso). La promera noche nos alojaron en un apartamento que no era el nuestro y que era un primer piso, cuando yo había insistido mucho en que fuera planta baja. Aceptaron que habían tenido un error y que nuestro apartamento lo había dado a otros clientes. Al día siguiente nos cambiaron de apartamento por otro que si estaba en planta baja.

We had a perfect week. The hospitality, tranqulity and comfort was top notch. We are planning to go back next year.

We had a great time here and enjoyed it. Things that could have made it better would have been a much better equipped kitchen - there was not even a garlic press and too few plates/bowls etc. There were too few sunbeds for the number of people using the pool. Also it was very strange for us to be charged extra for wireless internet access when all other hotels and gites offer it as part of the package - things like this brought the value and comfort scores down for us. Also, only one shower for a place advertised as being between 4 and six people was really not acceptable.
It would have been nice to also have had a 'welcome package' of milk, bread, cheese. fruit, basics like seasonings etc as the place is a long distance from any shops and arriving to a place without any food or drink whatsoever makes it difficult.
All in all, a really lovely place and nice people, but a bit over populated for the space with no privacy outside and under resourced in terms of equipment, and with services such as internet, washing machine etc being charged as extra rather than within the package it feels overpriced.
