Castello is a wonderful Tuscan Castle located just halfway between Siena and Florence near Certaldo in the heart of the Chianti region. The castle is surrounded by gentle rolling hills, olives trees and vineyards. The castle has kept its medieval appearance thanks to the original materials that have been used during its restoration.

A beautiful garden with numerous varieties of plants and roses surrounds the property. In the middle of the garden there is a beautiful 7x14 m swimming pool with breathtaking views of the Tuscan countryside where guests can relax and take a refreshing dip during the hot summer days.

Interiors

The property is divided into 9 apartments all of them furnished with original Tuscan furniture and antiques. Some of the apartments are located in the main Castle while others in little restored farm houses around the main building.

All the apartments still have a charming traditional feel due to the original antique furniture and architectural features, walls are painted in lively Tuscan colors and floors are terracotta tiles. Kitchens are fully equipped and embellished with Carrara marble.

Guests can also make use of some of the common areas such us a private library where is possible to find recent and classic literature and the outdoor tables where it is possible to eat alfresco.
