Exterior

This typical Cortonese house consists of two apartments and is located in Cortona town centre itself, within 200m of all amenities- shops, restaurants and bars, banks, post office etc. The beautiful Parterre public gardens are also just 5 minutes on foot. This is a lovely place for a relaxing stroll or jog and in the summer there is an open air cinema, tennis courts and outdoor public pool to enjoy.

Conveniently the town´s railway station is also only a short distance away allowing you to easily access towns in the wider area.

Various festivals are held in the summer in Cortona too so it´s worth coordinating your visit with one to make the most of the especially lively atmosphere during these times. There´s the festival of sacred music, the well known Tuscan sun festival, and various gastronomic celebrations including the “Sagra della Bistecca” honouring the local steak.

Interior

The house is laid out over four floors with the ground floor devoted to the first smaller apartment with just one bedroom and the remaining floors devoted to the larger apartment with its four bedrooms. Both apartments are charmingly decorated with period pieces, traditional materials and quality fabrics.

They are also not lacking in modern facilities and have Wi-Fi Internet connection, satellite television, an iPod music system and fans.

From upstairs there are particularly fabulous views of the valley with the Lake Trasimeno to the left and Mount Amiata straight ahead.

On request special dinners can be organized for any occasion from birthdays to wedding receptions with a menu chosen in collaboration with the experienced chef. Babysitting, cleaning and laundry services are also available.

These two apartments can accommodate a total of 12 guests if rented together but can also be rented individually for groups of 2-4 and up to 8 respectively.
