Set amongst the most beautiful hills of the Chianti region between Siena and Arezzo, San Giovanni Castle has been recently restored with great attention to detail. All the original materials have been used to maintain the visual impact loyal to the original. The village of the castle sits in a 750 acres park that includes woods, olive groves and vineyards. Cities such as Siena, Florence, Arezzo, San Gimignano, Cortona and others in Umbria are within one hour driving, so after a satisfactory day tour you will be back at the castle in time to enjoy a relaxing evening by the pool and a dinner "alfresco".
All guests may enjoy the large swimming pool located right under the shape of the castle and facing the magnificent landscape. The pool is 20 by 8 meters in size and is fitted with a shower, two large gazebos and comfortable sun beds. Nearby the castle there is a fishing pond to enjoy the contact with nature.
To complete a perfect day at San Giovanni Castle guests will be able to dine at the restaurant of the property, capable of excellent Tuscan dishes.
Available for guest use are mountain bikes for biking excursions in the Chianti area, wine tasting at the castle, guided tours and walks, cooking classes and local wine and olive oil products for purchase.

Interiors

Each house at San Giovanni Castle hosts one or more apartments featuring large gardens and terraces to dine outdoors or simply relax during daytime. All apartments are fully serviced and feature amenities such air conditioning in all bedrooms, large and welcoming living rooms, and spacious bedrooms with en suite bathrooms.
The  interiors of each apartment are furnished with antique pieces of furniture and refined with great attention to the detail. The cotto floors and the wood beam ceilings immediately set the rustic tone proper to a country Chianti accommodation.
All apartments feature a fully equipped kitchen with all the necessary utensils for a self-catered vacation in Tuscany. Many apartments have a fireplace that creates a great atmosphere in all seasons and a welcoming sparkling fire during winter months. The sitting areas are fitted with comfortable sofas and armchairs. All bathrooms feature a shower. All apartments have several windows that fill each living space with sunlight.
